Blimey!! All that seems like years ago!!! 8O
Anyway, I have the little 7.5g tank in my new house (I moved out of the old one as the landlord wanted to sell it :x ), I have gravel and water in there now aswell as my little filter (with the good stuff in it!!!), and as a fitting tribute to my poor hamster, I re-used his little ornament (after a good few hours cleaning and soaking in very hot water!!!), which is a Citroen 2CV, and am using it as a plantpot!!!
As for the lovely black sand I got, well, my charming young moggie decided to claw open one of the bags and rolled about in the pile of it on the carpet!!! Thank goodness for my Kirby vacuum!!! Anyway, the sand I had left is now in my mum's BIG new tank (3'x10"x1'), one of the fantails passed away before moving into the big tank, so there's just the two in there now (Mop, the one I bought and t'other one) and there's an extra pair of weather loaches in it aswell. That'll be it as far as that tank goes as I think it's plenty stocked, and I want to see the Fantails grow as they're looking much bigger now than they were in the last few pics I have in this thread of them in the Hex tank (which is in a cupboard somewhere as the light is completely screwed!!!)...
Anyway, back to my tank!! Prior to my getting it, and before my mum's fish moved into the big tank, my tank was used as a temporary home for them (whilst the new big one settled and de-chlorinated naturally and left it for a month with it's pump going) as the old one just got on my nerves as every time I thought I had fixed the light, it died again, so as my tank was sitting doing nothing I moved the fish into it with some tank water and new water, gave the gravel a good washing and put it in the little tank with the fish. They lived in there for a good few months, then we got the new tank and a month later the fish moved in with my filter sponge in the new tank's filter, so while that seeded itself I cleaned out my tank and the gravel (again) and took it home, and have only just got my filter sponge back!!! 8)
Now, as I said, it has the essentials in (water, gravel, filter and a tacky ornament!!!) aswell as a small cutting of one of the plants from my mum's new tank and the filter is ready to go!
So, I still haven't made up my mind as to what I want to put in there, I went to a garden centre recently though which had loooooads of lovely fish, aswell as some butt-ugly ones too!!! 8O
I guess the following list still stands?:
