What kind of light for this tank?

I just emptied out this tank this morning and I will be adding sand, live rock and saltwater tonight. But what light can I put on it? I will have a marineland penguin 125 on the back for filtration and I was told I don't need a protein skimmer as long as I do my weekly water changes like I always do on my other tanks. It will probably have to be a clip on the back since the side are at an angle! So it will probably be LED's right? How many watts will I need if it's a 6 gallon tank for softies an LPS?
