5 gallon tank

Could you maybe get a closer picture? The second one is a bit too far away

Ok, so I went ahead and bought some cardinalis plants, they seem to be doing good, though I see no roots on them?!
Everything seems good, though I only found 5 shrimp :(
I'll see if I can get the shrimp's spot again, they hide

Forgot the pics

I also have a question, the motor won't stick to the water bottle and it slides down, not putting out the water and not generating enough surface agitation
Anyways, can I put one or two drops of silicone so it does stick?
Thanks!

Here are a couple of pictures of my design.

The large hole on one side fits the powerhead through. I just removed the powerhead from my filter, placed the filter inside then reattached the powerhead by sticking it through the hole in the bottle from the outside so the powerhead fitting holds my filter in place inside the bottle. On the other side are two small hole that i attached suction cups through and stuck the bottle in place. If the filter you have wont fit like that maybe you could attach some tube to the powerhead and direct it to the surface to provide agitation that way.

I think so since its from petco I would research the brand first. see if someone else has used it.

If it's aquarium silicone sealant then it'll be fine. If they sell it in the fish section of a pet store then you can use it.

Oh really? That's pretty weird, but interesting, I thought of something, could it have anything to do with what class it is, like there are fire cherry shrimp?

Other poster correct with ovaries. I believe it is also referred to as the "saddle". Easy way to ID the females. IME males tend to be a bit smaller and less colorful.

Oh wow, that's pretty interesting, thanks! So I think I have 3 females and 2 males in that case

So update!
It has been like 1 month or 2 since the last update, and I would like to say that I am pretty much done with the tank!
I added some anacharis and they look nice! The betta is doing great too!
The shrimp didn't make it, I had to move them to my brothers tank to see how they did there, and when I woke up I didn't see any :(
So here is my stock
1 betta
2 mystery snails( temporary)
1 nerite
And that's it! What do you guys think?
Thanks!
