Why do you want to lower ph?

You probably don't want to mess with pH. You may not even really know what it is right now since you are using test strips.

Of course. But you won't want to buy them. Test kits are like anything else, you can spend a lot of money on the higher quality ones. You wouldn't need anything more expensive for a FW tank but yes, they exist.
