Starting Up A Nano!

There's no other fish. So thats good. Is it ok to add live rock and some more crabs? All the bristle worms appear to be dead...the crabs are alive, I took some out and they were moving.

Oh yah definitely add some more liverock now if you are wanting to, I wouldn't add anymore crabs until the ammonia is down, they are hardier than fish and such but the ammonia is still hard on them.

Ok. Will get some LR and then have the water tested again today. Maybe it's ok (prob not, but would make me feel so much better). I feel horrible!

Haha well the fish died so that problem has been dealt with...

Its a 20 g, somewhat boring. Needs a lot of work and then has some potential.

Crabs seem to be happier than they were yesterday...so that's good. My Dad has yet to do the 75% water change...I am going home today so I hope he gets on it!

Looks good, I don't like the yellow star polyps or the kenya tree though. Yellow star polyps never look very bright and always seem pretty dull to me, can take over rock quickly too, same goes for the kenya. The kenya tree can be really horrible when it starts to drop arms. Just a heads up on both of those haha not to be a negative nancy!

I do like the toadstool though, those are always cool and the little green polyps in with the yellow star polyps will probably be really nice once they open up more.

I also really like how you have all the rock, it looks really good, and super purple!

Thanks! We will be sure to watch the yellow stars and Kenya tree. Never know what does and doesn't do well in a tank!

Nice grabs from the lfs . I'm going to skimp out on getting 1 or two 40 dollar frags this time and go for as many 10 dollar frags I can get my hands on. More small things is more interesting to me than one giant centerpiece like those 400 dollar Lordhowensis fellows.

No kidding eh? We actually went to my bf's coworkers house and he gave us all of that stuff for $20! Amazing. My xenia that died was $50 and he gave us some blue xenia with all of it. Such a good deal...like I said, so excited for it to grow!
